Riya Patel is a dedicated student at Woodbridge Academy Magnet School for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences and co-founder of The Learning Circle. With a passion for medicine and healthcare, Riya combines her leadership at TLC with her academic aspirations. Through her vision, TLC has launched programs that empower students to support one another through peer-to-peer learning and community service.
Riya was instrumental in securing partnerships with PALS Learning Center and expanding the reach of TLC programs. She continues to play a vital role in guiding the organization to new heights.

Neal Patel
Co-Founder, The Learning Circle

Neal Patel is an aspiring data scientist and co-founder of The Learning Circle. Since founding TLC, Neal has led efforts to promote peer-to-peer learning and create a culture of collaboration among students. He spearheaded programs like the Homework Hub and summer enrichment classes for Pre-Algebra and Algebra, reaching over 25 elementary and middle school students.
In August 2024, Neal presented a proposal to the Woodbridge Township School Board to establish the Pre-Algebra and Algebra Enrichment Program. Under his leadership, the program now runs in five middle schools across Woodbridge Township.

Our volunteers—part of our 40+ member team—design, teach, and refine enrichment programs serving Edison Township Public Schools and Woodbridge Township School District. From Pre-Algebra to Algebra instruction, they’ve delivered hundreds of tutoring hours, helping students overcome academic challenges and discover their potential. Their dedication embodies The Learning Circle’s mission: bridging educational gaps through peer-to-peer learning and community support.
